Bridal Suite
At Houchins you have an entire farm house available to you for getting ready the morning of your wedding. Plenty of rooms for lots of bridesmaids and even a kitchen to help yourself to drinks or prep some snacks.
The rooms are large with some providing a modern, neutral decor whilst others are traditional with wood beams. We highly recommend you go and visit to see if it suits the vision for your wedding.
Marquee Ceremony
Gather all your guests together under the large marquee for a beautiful ceremony at Houchins. It is a blank canvas for you to create a unique masterpiece for your wedding.

Rooms Galore
Within the old barn, there are dedicated rooms for each part of the wedding day. This is a massive advantage as it means each space is set up beautifully before the day begins so if group photos are needed to be done inside (if it rains), there is always a space.
Another benefit we find of having separate rooms is that some guests who want a quieter evening can enjoy a drink away from the loud music. We do strongly suggest having two photographers though to cover all areas.
Countryside Wedding Venue
The gardens at Houchins are always so beautifully kept with colourful flowerbeds and the striking archway structures. It provides a pleasant area for your drinks reception and group photos.
This Colchester wedding venue has grounds that extend to the front of the property, with a gorgeous driveway and pond. But did you know, there is even an additional field perfect for garden games! An excellent venue for natural wedding photography.

Securing your wedding photographer should ideally follow once your venue and caterers are booked. Due to high demand, we encourage you to reach out as early as possible, as our schedule tends to fill up quickly—sometimes up to two years in advance.
That said, we have a soft spot for intimate, last-minute weddings and are more than willing to accommodate these with just a few months' notice. Whatever your timeline, we're here to capture your day beautifully.

Yes, we primarily serve areas within a 35-mile radius of Manningtree, which includes stunning wedding venues in Coggeshall, Woodbridge, Mersea Island, Bury St Edmunds, Colchester and Ipswich.
