Ceremony Room
The Signature Room at Wivenhoe House is just an amazing setting for your ceremony. High ceilings, grand architecture and great big windows make for a sophisticated ceremony.
Have we said how amazing the light in this room is!? If you like natural, uplifting, happy photos, our style of natural wedding photography is perfect for this venue.
Outdoor Ceremony
The only thing that could possibly beat the absolutely stunning Signature Room is having an outdoor ceremony at Wivenhoe House. The wooden gazebo is a beautiful structure that you can decorate in your wedding colours and is set against the beautiful Essex countryside.
Of course, the natural light also ensures bright and crisp photos but your photographer has the added bonus of being able to move around to get many more angles and memories.
Hotel Accommodation
A huge advantage of choosing a hotel wedding venue is on-site accommodation. Get ready with all your bridesmaids in one of Wivenhoe House’s large suites before heading down for your wedding ceremony. Then at the end of the night you can stumble back up and fall into bed.
There’s even space for your guests to stay so you can carry on the celebrations at breakfast!
Generous Grounds
Being on the grounds of Essex University you could easily think that the outside space at Wivenhoe House would be lacking. So it’s quite surprising that it is infact set amongst a whole lot of nature.
This Colchester wedding venue, has a large lake, tree lined pathways, and even the building is a backdrop in itself. Every direction you turn are stunning views, perfect for your natural wedding photography.
Rooms Galore
If your guest list is small enough, we would highly recommend having your wedding breakfast in the Signature Room. As we’ve mentioned before, the room is gorgeous and grand and flooded with light. This is the best recipe for bright, natural photos.
However, if you are having a larger celebration, there is the option of the garden room. Just one thing to note, this room is darker so we will likely be needing to use flash.

Securing your wedding photographer should ideally follow once your venue and caterers are booked. Due to high demand, we encourage you to reach out as early as possible, as our schedule tends to fill up quickly—sometimes up to two years in advance.
That said, we have a soft spot for intimate, last-minute weddings and are more than willing to accommodate these with just a few months' notice. Whatever your timeline, we're here to capture your day beautifully.

Yes, we primarily serve areas within a 35-mile radius of Manningtree, which includes stunning wedding venues in Coggeshall, Woodbridge, Mersea Island, Bury St Edmunds, Colchester and Ipswich.
For venues beyond this point, a nominal travel fee may apply. We're committed to capturing your day wherever it is, so please don't hesitate to discuss your specific location with us!
