Woodhall Manor Wedding Photographer

Real wedding at Woodhall Manor, Ipswich

I first met this lovely couple at Chantry Park for their pre-wedding photography session. They brought their children along for some family portraits in addition to their engagement pictures. This helped not only our couple, but the children to get to know us ahead of the wedding so I was a familiar face on the day. I am so pleased they have a bunch of beautiful, natural photos together as memories of this time.

Getting ready

They got married at Woodhall Manor, which is a gorgeous wedding venue in Woodbridge. The bride is a huge Disney fan and the building reminded her of something out of Beauty and the Beast - a fairytale wedding if there ever was one! i joined them for the whole day, from getting ready right through to the first dance and more.

It was a very warm summers day but bridal prep went without a hitch and the bride was on her way to meet her groom. Please note how incredibly adorable the flower girls dress is. In fact, I thought it was a fabulous idea to have the girls in tutu's that are easy to take on and off when they are ready to just run around.

Outdoor ceremony at Woodhall Manor

The outdoor ceremony area was decorated beautifully. This bride has good taste! The delicate details of sheer fabric and pastel flowers on the chairs was just perfect. The groom's father did a reading while the bridesmaids munched on custard creams (even the adult bridesmaid's couldn't resist). They had thought of everything - custard creams are literally the best snack because they don't get too sticky or mucky! And then came the moment of walking out as husband and wife… to an instrumental version of A Whole New World, from Disney. Perfect.

Wedding photography at Woodhall Manor

Woodhall Manor is a photographers dream for portraits. Everywhere you look are exquisitely landscaped gardens and the manor itself is an impressive backdrop. So we took some time exploring the grounds for a variety of natural, beautiful wedding portraits before joining the guests for canapés and lawn games.

The evening reception

This bride and groom made the most of everything Woodhall Manor had to offer, by using different rooms for the different parts of the day. The wedding breakfast was in the light and bright garden room, which of course looked amazing with their unique decorations. The floral hoops for centerpieces is such a great idea as guests can still talk across the table without large decorations blocking their sight. The evening celebrations took place in such a fancy, sauve space with the dance floor surrounded by mirrors. Of course, I took the opportunity to step out of the box and get some creative dance shots using those mirrors.

All in all it was a fabulous day and we can’t wait to go back to this fairytale, Ipswich wedding venue. We love being part of special days like this at Woodhall Manor. If this has given you any ideas for your wedding, please get in touch – we would love to hear your plans.
