Ipswich Embroidery and Print
Wedding Supplier in Ipswich
We have some great news - we are starting a new little blog series where we talk to other local wedding suppliers about what they have to offer our brides and grooms. First up is Ipswich Embroidery and Print - as you will soon find out, they can provide personalised items for your wedding and hen do, along with loads of other ideas we hadn't even thought of! Hope you enjoy...
Eleth: Hi both, congratulations on your new baby! Perhaps you could introduce yourselves to our blog readers.
Adam: Thanks, little one is settling in well and is in that great 'new born' stage where all they do is sleep.... so currently smooth sailing! As for us, I'm Adam who along with my wife Tenesha founded Ipswich Embroidery and Print back in 2018. Whilst I'm originally from Stockton, I met Tenesha at University in Kent and have lived in Ipswich now for well over 10 years with our two young girls.
Eleth: Now, we've known you, Adam, for a long time and you've worked quite a bit with Jason on commercial projects, but I know you do lots of goodies for weddings too - so firstly, tell our blog readers about your business...
Adam: So as I said, we started IEP back in 2018, focusing on garment decoration primarily but rapidly expanded into print services also. Last year we actually merged with another established business called GDS Signage which meant (still operating under the IEP brand) an injection of further expertise and equipment into the business, so we've really gone up a level in terms of capability. However at our core we're still very much a modest sized, local business so welcome jobs of all sizes as we always have done. To keep it short, if it involves clothing or printing onto things....we do it.
Eleth: Wow, potentially that's a lot of stuff! What kind of products do you think our brides and grooms may be interested in?
Adam: Well, to be honest it's really as broad as they are creative! Clearly Stag, Hen and Sten do tops and clothing are a firm favourite, but we really love taking on the personal touches such as printed napkins (one bride had them printed with a drawing her daughter had done) and table cloths. We've done NFL themed centre pieces, we made a recreation of Lewis Hamilton's racing helmet for the top table once; we make a lot of seating plan signs, direction signs, as well as labels and tags for favours and the such. Last year we started offering glass etching which we did for 10 bridesmaids as a present from the bride, but also they're great for the top table guests, or as mementos of the day as a freebie shot glass! In terms of trends I think personalised clothing is definitely becoming more en vogue, and last year for example we did matching denim jackets for the bride and groom with their new surname on for some great photos as they walked off into the sunset! Thinking about it, we've been lucky to have had the chance to impact so many peoples big day in so many ways!
Eleth: You really can make anything unique! What has been your favourite moment in business so far?
Adam: There's been so many! Apart from the moments when a customer pays a big invoice, I think one memory always sticks out. We were contacted by a children's charity for very poorly kids who along with a range of disabilities were often living with critical illnesses, who with their parents and carers were being taken to Lapland. They'd been badly let down by an online provider so came to me wanting 18 T-shirts with a Christmas message on, but needed them in the next two hours before they all had to catch their plane! So in the spirit of the cheesiest Christmas film, and all hands on deck we managed to get them done and collected in time. As a Dad, that whole experience brought a lump to my throat, I won’t be too shy to admit!
Eleth: Thanks Adam and Tish - it's been great "virtually" chatting!
If this has given you some great ideas for how to personalise items for your wedding, please do speak to Adam and his team. Whether you have a full idea of what you would like or even just an initial concept I’m sure they’ll be able to help make your vision become a reality.
