A beautiful, private location for a large wedding

Where you say I Do

Crabbs barn is a beautiful old building that is full of character with its high vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. It has been lovingly restored to create the ideal wedding venue. There is a balcony at the front of the ceremony room, so you can easily have two photographers to capture the vows from all angles. The room is fairly dark which gives an intimate, romantic atmosphere. Of course, there is also the option of an outdoor ceremony in the warmer months which is surrounded by pretty, colourful flowers.

Dancing the night away

The reception is held in the same room as the ceremony. During the photographs the staff transform the room for the wedding breakfast and then again for the evening entertainment. Crabbs Barn is suited for larger weddings as the space can fit 100 guests for a formal, seated meal. There are also outbuildings that can be utilised for drinks receptions if the weather turns.

The Grounds

There are lots of photo opportunities around the barn with the large pond, pretty pergola, the tree lined driveway and much more. If that still isn’t enough, it is also surrounded by open countryside that you can benefit from. Please remember to schedule more time if you would like to go further afield for your portraits.

Being a family run wedding venue, Crabbs Barn is flexible and approachable. The staff are very helpful and friendly which is an important consideration for your wedding day. A big advantage is that you can hire the space for just your ceremony, only your reception or for the full day. This place has been set up specifically to accommodate weddings so everything has been thought out and is ready to go. Although it’s not cheap we think it is well worth the money if you wish for a private celebration.
