Five Lakes is a modern hotel with a golf course and spa, located in Maldon. In this review, we'll share our candid perspectives and insights, offering insights and perspectives that highlight the unique appeal of Five Lakes.

Where you say I Do

Being a large hotel, there are a number of rooms that can hold your ceremony based on the size of your guest list. Some have large floor to ceiling windows that let the light flood in and are a blank canvas for you to decorate as you wish.

The Grounds

The grounds are vast at Five Lakes giving you a wide variety of picturesque areas. Close to the building there is a wooden pagoda by the large pond. It has textured trees and bushes surrounding it which makes for a lovely backdrop to your portraits. Other places include walkways, open fields and a short walk to a large lake, all perfect for some time away as a newly wed couple for your portraits. Even indoors there is an impressive stair case for dramatic portraits.

Dancing the night away

Reception drinks can be held outside by a beautifully landscaped pond which is a peaceful area for your guests to gather. There are a few options as to which room to use for your reception based on the size of your wedding. The large function room is an amazing space - the massive bonus of this room being it’s spacious enough for a dance floor to be amongst your tables rather than having to rearrange the space after your meal. It doesn't have windows but this enhances the atmosphere for a disco.

This venue gives the flexibility of hiring it for just your reception, or all day from getting ready to dancing into the early hours. As you would expect, it has all the neccessary ammenities including a car park, wi-fi and even a swimming pool and spa.
