Jewish Culture

Rich in traditions, Jewish weddings usually party into the small hours! One of the most notable traditions is “The Hora” – the couple are hoisted up into the air while sitting on a chair, while strong family and friends hold them up. The rest of their guests then circle around them and dance to “entertain” the Bride and Groom.

America

There’s no surprise that the land that defined “Showbiz” is known to go the extra mile when it comes to planning special dances at weddings. One on one choreography is big business in the states-side wedding industry. Most commonly it’s the Bride and Groom that have something special to entertain their guests with; second to that, the Bride and Bridesmaids learn the moves to shake their ‘stuff!

Nothing warms the heart more than a lovely Daddy & Daughter dance, enjoy…

Greek

The “Money Dance” originated in the small villages of Greece, to help the Bride and Groom begin their journey together. Over the years, it has become a show of wealth and generosity to shower the couple with money – sometimes they even tape bank notes together like money streamers! It’s a very generous start to a marriage.

One tip for the ladies – don’t plan on wearing a skimpy dress, once the fabric runs out, so does the cash!
